Laura Azzalini — a multidisciplinary product designer focused in user experience, visual and interaction design. I design simple & functional UI for an enjoyable and meaningful UX.
I’m a Canadian from Montreal, currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
I have a degree in design and experience in digital and architectural design. I was an entrepreneur and have been practicing digital design for 8+ years. My design practice operates at the intersection of simplicity and sustainability to find human-centred solutions for meaningful problems. My background covers a wide range of experiences including —
Founded a sustainable furniture business↗. Helped more people find jobs they love ↗. Built e-commerce solutions & digital content for small businesses. Renovated a 100 year old home. Lead a AAA web accessibility audit & redesign. Built a community pavilion designed for deconstruction ↗. Curated an exhibition of emerging designers ↗. Speculated how we can re-imagine the suburbs ↗. Collaborated with other designers and developers to build digital projects. Helped a luxury department store be more sustainable ↗. Worked on a UNESCO prize winning education tool. Redesigned a cornerstone restaurant of the Italian community ↗. Designed a collection of sustainable furniture. Designed a learning tool for financial-literacy ↗.
This diversity of experiences brought me new perspectives when working to simplify complex design problems. I learned the importance of critical thinking, clear communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration to successfully deliver great product design.
